According to the Ukrainian association of metal
production Metallurgprom data, Ukraine's crude steel production is expected to
reach 2.3 million tons in July this year, increasing by 4.5% from June.
Steel production is expected to raise by5.6% to 1.9 million tons; pig iron
production will reach 2.1 million tons, an increase of 23.5% from the previous
month.
During January to May, the country’s pig iron production fell by 30% to 8.36
million tons; crude steel production fell by 28% to 9.25 million tons; steel
production declined by 30% to 8 million tons.
In May, Ukraine produced 1.92 million tons of pig iron, 2.17 million tons of
crude steel and 1.83 million tons of steel production.
