During first 7months of the current Iranian year, Khouzestan Steel produced 1.65m tones of crude steel which shows 14.5 % increase compared to same period last year and it’s 3 % more than its production targets. Therefore the company has become the first steel producer in Iran for catching production capacity targets.
As quoted by the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development & Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), Abdolmajid Sharafi, president of khouzestan Steel Company announced that nominal capacity of the mill has risen from 1.5m tones to 3.2m tones after completing the expansion projects.
Also he said the company planned to produce 2.85m tones of crude steel this year and it will be more than 3 million tones in next Iranian year.
