According to report, AK Steel said Thursday that the company will raise the price again from the current base price for all carbon flat-rolled steel products by US$40/ton. Also, it’s the second time that the company raises the price in a month.
Meanwhile, the price will become effective immediately and be applied to the new orders.
The company stated that the price increase is to reflect the higher costs for the material, the same cause of price rise last month.
AK steel’s main customers for carbon steel flat products are from vehicle automotive, appliance, construction and electricity companies.
