Conares Metal Supply (UAE) will start commercial production at its rebar mill in February in the Jebel Ali Free Zone. The equipment was supplied by Siemens-VAI and has capacity of 500 000 mt rebar.
Billet is sourced from the CIS, Turkey and from local suppliers in GCC. The mill has an inventory of billet on the site.
Conares sell rebar both in domestic and export markets and according to the market sources it has sold already 1st lot of 10 000 tones of rebar of February-March production to neighbouring countries.
Conares is currently operating a pipe and tube facility in Jebel Ali Free Zone to manufacture ERW black pipes & tubes (round, square, rectangular) 1/2’’-4’’ with capacity of 180, 000 tons per year and galvanized pipes 1/2”-6” of 36 000 tons per year.
Conares’s steel service centre facility includes cut to length (thickness 0.3-6.0 mm, width 700-1550 mm) and slitting (thickness 1.2-6.0 mm, width 700-1550 mm).
